Snorkeling at Hotel B

Over the last two weeks, we’ve been trying to find some new places to snorkel. We’ve also visited some of our old favourites. Cozumel has some really incredible underwater attractions to visit, so we’re always finding new places to explore. A few days ago we discovered this footage from 2018, from an afternoon of snorkeling on the North Side of the island, just off the shore from Hotel B.

A little less than two years ago, my parents came down to Mexico from Canada to visit for two weeks. They stayed here at Hotel B.We visited the restaurant for lunch or dinner, which was quite good. Another day, we decided to hop in the water to try the snorkeling. Wow! It turns out, this is an incredible spot with lots of great coral right on the rocky shoreline. They have nice oceanside beach chairs and this great spot to snorkel.

Underwater adventures at Hotel B on Cozumel. 2018.

This place is great for swimmers of all skill levels. For those who can handle a little bit of current in the open water, there is a floating platform to swim out too and plenty of fish swimming in the deeper water. The floating platform is a great place to relax for a while soaking in the sunshine. For those of you who want a more relaxing experience, the small pool here is protected from the waves, and there are plenty of fish and coral to float alongside. Just be careful for the sea urchins.

Snorkeling on Cozumel – Hotel B

What makes Isla Cozumel so special is the abundance of incredible places to go snorkeling. Located along part of the Mesoamerican Reef, the underwater world here is quite spectacular. We’ve found great snorkeling spots in places where you would least expect it, often just on the side of the road, somewhere along the Malecon.

We found this incredible snorkeling footage from 2 years ago, taken just outside of Hotel B, located in the North Zone on Cozumel. This was a great place for snorkel enthusiasts of all skill levels, just watch out for the sea urchins. Cozumel has many great places to visit underwater, but if you’re lucky enough to be staying here, you’ve got a pretty great freebie.
