September 2021 Wallpaper

If you hear that loud and uncomfortable noise, it’s the sound of August rushing towards you at full speed. The dreaded sound of September follows closely behind it. While summer doesn’t officially end for another couple weeks, the start of September has always felt like someone has pulled the plug. The seasons have begun their transition to the fall with or without our blessing. Today we’re going to revisit a classic travel destination that has been drawing visitors for thousands of years, Rome. The colosseum is one of the most recognizable attractions in the world and a fitting choice for our September 2021 Desktop Wallpaper.

The seasons don’t wait for the calendar to match as they march towards their next phase, and neither will we. Last year at this time we were in the process of uprooting our lives from Mexico and moving to Canada. This meant we were preparing for a long 14-days of mandatory lockdown. This year feels much different. We have been vaccinated and enjoying more freedom because of it. This year long process was worth it, especially since we now call Vancouver home once again. We still have a few weeks before the rain returns in the city and we’re planning to take advantage.

It’s been an incredible summer, but all good things must inevitably come to an end. August always seems to move faster than the other months. This year we’re actually looking forward to settling in for the winter. We’re in the early process of planning some fun trips for the next few months and are just generally looking forward to the things ahead of us.

Planning our next trip(s).

We’re looking forward to getting back to travel once again. We have been fairly stationary in 2021, both because of travel restrictions but mostly because we haven’t really been working much. That has all changed and now that we’re working, the idea of vacations follows quickly behind. One of our first trips this year will be to take the ferry to Victoria for a visit, which was our desktop wallpaper feature from last year.

This is one of the most beautiful cities in the province. We have several friends who live here that we would like to finally visit. There are many sights to see in the city. One place to start is a nice long walk along the waterfront to take in some great views of the natural harbour. Victoria is also a great place to go hiking, and there are many easy trails just outside of the city to escape civilization.

Throughout the summer we have been exploring different parts of Vancouver, and we will soon be sharing some of our favourite pictures, travel guides and recommendations for visitors to the city. We have collected quite the backlog of content, which we will be slowly working on showing off over the next couple weeks.
