November 2021 Wallpaper

Hello winter my old friend. This afternoon we are celebrating the end of another month, bidding farewell to the month of October. We’ve enjoyed a wonderful autumn so far, and we are excited to see what November has in store for us. We’re now entering the home stretch of 2021 and are looking forward to whatever 2022 brings. The finish line is in sight. Autumn is always such a great time to travel, and New York City is no different. As the trees in central park change colour, the city turns a new shade of magical. This is one of the most photogenic places in New York and there are plenty of corners to explore. It feels like a fitting way to welcome us to November.

Many of us have had to put our travel plans on hold during the last two years, and when the green light flashes once again, we should all visit New York. Just not at the same time. Sometimes its just nice to be reminded that those great things we want to experience and the sights we want to see will be waiting for us on the other side. Today we are here to celebrate a few of those great travel destinations, from New York to Machu Picchu. New York City is one of the most electric cities in the world.

November is a great time to travel, and there are many incredible places to choose from. We hope our latest desktop wallpapers will help to inspire your next trip. Also on feature this month are a few beach destinations from around the world. We couldn’t have selected two different beaches, both known around the world for their beauty.

Oh, and before we forget… Happy Halloween everyone!

World’s Greatest Cities

New York was founded in the 1600’s, and has quickly become one of the most important cities in the world. It is a fitting destination to feature for our November Desktop Wallpaper. Central Park is massive, and has many different attractions located inside. Our feature wallpaper is from fall of 2013, during a trip to New York. The changing colours in the trees and condos of the upper west side made for the perfect backdrop for a photo, with “the lake” in the foreground.

Machu Picchu is one of the most memorable places we’ve ever traveled to. This is a city in the sky, built by the Incas in central Peru. This destination remained”undiscovered” until the 1900s. Few places in the world are this iconic. It is a magical place, surrounded by picturesque natural scenery and is one of the most incredible tourist destinations anywhere in the world. It is both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was named as one of the “new” 7 wonders of the world. Visiting here was an unforgettable journey. For many reasons, this should be near the top of everyone’s bucket list.

Life’s a beach

Tulum is an iconic destination on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, located on the Caribbean coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. For those looking to find some sunshine during the winter months, there are few places better than Tulum. A rapidly growing town center with plenty of culinary options, a world class Mayan Ruins overlooking the ocean and long sandy coastlines are just a few reasons to come here. The warm water and nearly constant sunshine should be more than enough reason to spend a few hours on the beachside.

The Oregon Coast is famous for the towering rock formations dotted along the coast. These formations are known as sea stacks, and they stand out like sore thumbs along otherwise empty stretches of sandy beaches. One of the best places to see this example of nature on display, is the 71 meter tall (235 foot) Haystack Rock, in Cannon Beach.

This big rock is located at Cannon Beach, a small village that now specializes in tourism. There are many great restaurants to visit, as well as some neat craft breweries and a small award-winning distillery. The evergreen forests and many unique rock formations along the coast become the perfect backdrop for these long sandy beaches. It is a dream destination for a photographer. It was also featured in the 80’s movie “Goonies”. The beach along the coast is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the sunshine.

We began sharing these desktop wallpapers as a monthly feature since 2018. It has been a fun way of showcasing pictures from some of the amazing places we’ve visited. We hope you enjoy our latest instalment and are looking forward to our next December wallpaper coming soon!
