The Riviera Maya is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Mexico. The main hub at Cancun International is the 2nd busiest airport in the country, as people come to soak in the sunshine along the beaches. While most people stay in the big resort hotels, if you have time to visit some of the cities, you will find the streets are decorated with some of the most incredible murals. Today we are featuring some of our most recent pictures of these amazing pieces of art from along the Riviera Maya.
We’re big fans of Street Art and just can’t get enough. Throughout our time along the Riviera Maya, we have been lucky to snap some great street art pictures. These most recent pictures are mostly from around Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, where we have spent most of our time recently. There is such an abundance of incredible artwork, and new pieces are being added every month.
We recently featured some of the most recent murals and graffiti that was added during the Seawalls Festival, which an art project that aims to bring awareness to the threats facing the worlds oceans ocean. Have a look here for some of our pictures from the Cozumel Street Art from Seawalls 2 that we added recently. This is also the third installment of our Riviera Maya series, so if you’re a fan of street art, you should check out some of our Street Art features from around the world.
There are many great murals that we drive by on a regular basis that we haven’t shared yet, and we have lots of fun trips planned around the Riviera Maya over the next few months, so we’re sure there will be more. As long as there are new murals being added, we will be showcasing our favourites. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
