There are few things better than a good sunset at the end of a long day. It’s like adding an exclamation point at the end of an adventure. If you haven’t noticed, this is a subject we are quite passionate about. Over the last few years we’ve become accustomed to sitting somewhere along the beautiful waterfront in Cozumel watching the sun go down. It’s been a rough 10 weeks of lockdown on Cozumel, but we’re finding the light at the end of the tunnel approaching. To prepare ourselves for new and exciting sunsets, we’ve decided to show off a few of our favourites from the archives.
If this is your first time joining us for one of our sunsets on Cozumel feature, we welcome you! Every few months we realize that our digital pockets are overflowing with sunset pictures from the island. We haven’t been allowed at the beach but recently discovered that there was an accessible rooftop at our apartment. This means we’ve found a new spot to watch the sunset. We’ve traveled all across the Riviera Maya and Cozumel is certainly one of the best places to watch the sunset.
On June 8th, Quintana Roo entered the “orange” phase of their re-opening plan. This means we will soon be back at the beach watching the sunset. We needed something to pass the time before we’re allowed to return to the ocean. Now that restrictions are being lessened on the island, we are looking forward to a post-8pm curfew so we can get outside and enjoy the end of the day in style!
We’re lucky that we’ve taken advantage of the many sunsets from our time on Cozumel. Finding the pictures for this post has been a form of therapy, in order to remind ourselves of the world outside of our bubble. We will be back!
