Today we are here to celebrate one of the great travel destination. Most travelers have been grounded and are stuck at home, but it’s nice to remember there are still great things to do waiting for us when this is all over. It’s hard to believe that it’s almost November already! We are now entering into the home stretch of 2020. We are sure no one will be sad to watch the year slide into distant memories. With that in mind, let’s try to remember the good, looking at one of our favourite travel destinations. We have selected the city in the clouds for our November 2020 desktop wallpaper. This is the one and only Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu is one of the most memorable places we’ve ever traveled to. This destination remained”undiscovered” until the 1900s. Few places in the world are this iconic. It is a magical place, surrounded by picturesque natural scenery and is one of the most incredible tourist destinations anywhere in the world. It is both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was named as one of the “new” 7 wonders of the world. Visiting here was an unforgettable journey.
For many reasons, this should be near the top of everyone’s bucket list. Norma and Rob traveled here in 2017, and did the 5 day Salkantay Trek on the way here. This picture was taken back in 2005, when Rob visited with friends at the end of a 6 month overland trip across south America. It was worth the effort to visit both times, and to be honest, there wouldn’t be a problem visiting a third time. It’s that good.
We began sharing these desktop wallpapers as a monthly feature since 2018. It has been a fun way of showcasing pictures from some of the amazing places we’ve visited. We hope you enjoy our latest installment and are looking forward to our December wallpaper coming soon! Happy (no) travels!
